SMALL CLAIMS COURT

In Ontario, the maximum monetary jurisdiction of the Small Claims Court is $35,000. If you believe that you are owed money, you can sue that person or business in Small Claims Court for money owed to you under an agreement, the return of the personal property, or for damages. Similarly, you could be sued in Small Claims Court for up to $35,000.
